The Plague Years formed from the remaining members of My Friend Rudra. After four long years of writing, recording and touring MFR had disbanded (fall 07') in the wake of a scene that was tired and jaded. The three remaining members, fueled by the depressed conditions of the country, state and underground music scene decided they weren't yet finished. Reforming with a new name, sound and message, the plague years recorded a 4 song demo entitled "endtimes". With a new live energy TPY quickly invoked some buzz around the midwest. They continue to destroy the cliche's of modern thinking and expression. Plan on more disease from the decaying, filth stricken vision that is the Plague Years.

Influences: The Cannabilistic nature of our society that justifies its insignificance by deteriorating all that is pure. People that value simplicity and within it continue to destroy any and all original as well as passionate ideology. A world in which a government issued green piece of paper means more than the heart, mind, body, soul and the very people that conspire to it’s every command. These and many other crimes against the spirit of life have introduced us to the plague of humanity. These years of plague will lead toward a world filled with nothing and we only have ourselves to blame.
