Chances are very good that if you are reading this you are sitting somewhere at your own computer, with electricity, a roof over your head, and a refrigerator close by with food in it. This same study says that in Africa a child dies every three seconds. It is safe to say that most Americans will waste more money in a single month than the bulk of mankind will recieve in more than a year doing difficult labor. This disparity of wealth globally is at the root of all conflicts and threatens your very ability to remain aloof from it and continue the priviledges your current situation affords you. One person cannot save or change the world, but collectively we can begin to have a positive effect in changing it for those who extreme poverty, corruption, and greed have disempowered.
You can support the Oxfam Organization or possibly donate to Amnesty International , or another of your choice, but do take a moment to reflect on your great fortune to be able to reach out with a small donation and be a part of the solution to this worldwide crisis.
