I AM ROCK!

About Me

I am the editor of LONG GONE LOSER MAGAZINE. I am the singer / guitarist of the band MUSCLE CAR. I write songs. I work too much. I listen to music and lots of it. I watch wrestling. I have a huge interest in Japanese culture and I love Japanese food. I don't smoke, take drugs and I don't drink but I couldn't care less if you do, just don't make it my problem. I watch terrible movies and TV shows yet still manage to have absolutely the best taste in everything.
I dislike nu-metal, flying, racism, pineapple on pizzas, compulsive liars, the fact that bands are touring Australia and playing Perth but skipping Adelaide, being cheated on by girlfriends, Beatles cover bands, and people who are sense of humour challenged.
The 3 bands I want to see before I die are:
(1) Iron Maiden
(2) Venom
(3) Aerosmith
Sometimes I think I'm a half decent photographer and here's a link where you can see some of my work: http://www.flickr.com/photos/longgoneloser/
FEEL FREE TO CHECK OUT MY REPORT ON GUITAR WOLF'S ADELAIDE SHOW BY CLICKING THE CRAP IMAGE I MADE BELOW.

My Interests

Music, Japan, lucha libre, wrestling, Mexican food, skateboarding, lowbrow art, making movies and music videos for bands, XBOX, toy collecting, photography, travelling the world, eating pizza, hunting down trashy films, editing a magazine, Gibson guitars, Marshall Amps, rockin' like a motherfucker.

I'd like to meet:

Joey Greco cos he rocks, Claudia De Falchi (for no real reason whatsoever), Lemmy (for no other reason than to simply shake his hand and say 'thankyou' for the fuckin' great music he has brought to this world) and Jennifer Connelly. Other than that, I have met everyone "famous" I have ever wanted to meet.
Now, I just want to meet like-minded people who listen to cool music, like art, publish their own zines, are from or simply just love Japan, or anyone who is an all-round great person. I don't have time for wankers anymore so if you are one, please don't waste my time or yours. Life is short enough as it is.
Here's what I have been listening to:

Movies:

I love all the films you probably hate. Russ Meyer, John Waters, David Friedman, Ray Dennis Stecklar, Fred Olen Ray, Jim Wynorski, Hershall Gordon Lewis, Tarantino, Kevin Smith, Mike Leigh, Hal Hartley, John Michael McCarthy, Dario Argento, Tim Burton, hong kong karate flicks, old 50's B+W sci-fi trash, 60's and 70's sexploitation schlock, blaxploitation, juvenile delinquent guff, Vincent Price horrors, the movies of El Santo and other Luchadores, and anything that stars Jennifer Connelly.
10 of my favourite movies ever in no particular order are:
1. Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls
2. The Warriors
3. Christine
4. Suspiria
5. Hairspray
6. High Fidelity
7. Mad Max
8. She Devils On Wheels
9. Rock N Roll Highschool
10. Amateur

Television:

Banana Splits, Baywatch, Bewitched, Cheaters, Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High, Diff'rent Strokes, Dukes Of Hazzard, Futurama, Get Smart, Hong Kong Phooey, House, I Dream Of Jeanie, Jabberjaw, King Of The Hill, Knight Rider, Lancelot Link - Secret Chimp, Lost In Space, Miami Vice, Relic Hunter, Scooby Doo, Spaced, Temptation Island, That 70's Show, The Addams Family, The A-Team, The Jetsons, The Munsters, The Simpsons, The Twilight Zone, Thunderbirds, Wonder Woman, and any wrestling programs.
I'm so cool that they based a TV show on me... Unfortunately, due to my work / band commitments, I was unable to play the lead role so they got some other dude in and he did a fine job indeed. Here's proof:

Books:

I read books constantly, autobiographies mainly. Also love books about B-grade movies and trashy television. 'The Dirt' by Motley Crue is a definite faveourite as is any book by Mick Foley and the books by Joe R Lansdale. Art books and wrestling autobiographies I tend to read a lot. Also read the magazine Juxtapoz, and have a gazillion zines from around the world.

Heroes:
