While working her way up the corporate ladder Leese Lockmiller never envisioned singing, speaking, and teaching as a Licensed Minister of the Gospel, but the Lord had a different plan. After a massive downsizing He asked her to leave the corporate world to answer His invitation to ministry. Unsure of how or when that was to occur, she began following His leading into music and youth ministry, to Australia for an extended missions trip (a story in and of itself), and back to college for a bachelors degree in Commercial Music and Music Business. Aware that Nashville was to be her home and where she was to start a business, but without any contacts in the area, she waited for the Lord to open up a door of opportunity. While on a 4-day visit to the city she sensed the Lord divinely open up not a door, but a window, and asking if she would be willing to jump through it. She remained in Nashville and the adventure began.The Lord began divinely positioning her in the very heart of Nashville's prophetic community. She began ministry training under LOUIS DESIENA of VFR Ministries, SANDY POWELL of PowerHouse Ministries, and JAMES GOLL of Ministry to the Nations (later renamed Encounters Network). She was also quickly led to her home church, Grace Center Franklin, where she came into a completely new understanding of the Presence of the Lord and freedom in worship.
Though the direction has clarified over the last two and a half years, the adventure is far from over. Leese is licensed under VFR MINISTRIES of Jacksonville, Florida.
She continues to minister at POWERHOUSE MINISTRIES events where she heads prophetic ministry teams, ministers in dream interpretation, oversees the dream interpretation division of the ministry, and is a vocalist on the PowerHouse worship team. She is also a guest speaker and teacher for the PowerHouse Internship Program and travels with PowerHouse as a prophetic minister and worship vocalist.
With ENCOUNTERS NETWORK Leese operates as an assistant to CHRIS POOLE, who oversees the prophetic training arm of the ministry, and she will continue to do so as he moves into his new role of Associate Director of EN. She is one of the primary speakers and teachers for EN's prophetic training conferences within the region, and is a vocalist (and occational keyboardist) with the VERTICAL WORSHIP BAND.
Leese's business, VENIA GROUP, provides consulting and marketing services to artists, ministries, and small businesses. Leese also sings, speaks and teaches through her own ministry, VENIA MINISTRIES, and accepts individual dream interpretation, prophetic council, and life coaching appointments as her schedule permits. She is currently selecting and writing music for her UPCOMING CD and working on her book "CREATING THE LIFE THAT YOU LOVE".
