Influences:
Quietness and solitude, meditation, beautiful open fields, walks in the woods after a rain, pursuing God, questioning God, Psalms, life experiences, hurt, loss, longings of my heart,
desperation, revelation, celebration.
The music of many other artists... composers, singers and instrumentalists have also influenced my music. Many of them have been doorways to new portals of musical freedom for me.
Some of those would be Harry Johanson, David Kiser, Connie Hunt, Brahms, Amy Grant, Twila Paris, John Elliott, William Cowper, Kelly Willard, Bread, John Ford Coley, Josh Groban, James Taylor, Michael Card, Alberto and Kimberly Rivera, Anthony Skinner, Ross Huskinson, David Ruis, Rita Springer, Martin Smith, Maggie Britt, Chris Tomlin, David DeLoach, Tom Shinness and Ruth Fazal.
My music has often been influenced by the revelation of something imparted by a teacher. Some of those teachers have been Doug Varnado, Elisabeth Elliot, David Fitzpatrick, Joyce Meyer, Paula White, Brian Smallwood, Andy Reese, Jeff Dollar, Tod Bell, Kris Vallotton, John Eldredge, James and Michal Ann Goll, and John Sheasby.
