Patterns Form began in the year of the millenium dragon, in Austin,Tx., when Sammy Ragland and Chris Ornelas created a sound combining shoegaze,
trip hop, electronic, and industrial influences.
What began as a project soon turned into a full band consisting
of Eric Milliken, and Kat Fraley.
Changes in the band came about and put in place Melissa Fair and Nicholas Burdohan.
Through the changes,with both line-ups, Patterns Form played
live shows in downtown Austin clubs such as the Flamingo Cantina
and Elysium.
With Chris Ornelas and Nicholas Burdohan moving to
the east and west parts of the states in 2004, Patterns Form
was put on hiatus.
In 2005 Chris Ornelas restored the Patterns Form project
based out of Los Angeles. After working with Los Angeles based
musicians in the years to come, 2008 would mark the year for
the official Patterns Form debut release... a second chapter,
the beautiful beginning.
Patterns Form , long awaited debut LP will be released beginning
of 2008. The LP will be titled "Beautiful Beginning of a Tragic End". As the title suggests, the tracks on this debut deals with
love & life, & the loss of the two...any literal interpretations
are decided by the individual listener.
A full band live performance is currently in the making for live
shows in the first quarter of 2008 along the West Coast from
San Diego to San Francisco, as well as Las Vegas.
