HANNY KAM, was born in 1979 Jakarta, Indonesia. She had her first piano lesson at the age of ten. As a child she was trained under international concert pianist, Kartina Tanmalano, at the Institute Music of Nusantara. Under her tutelage, she won 1st price "SAMICK Piano Competition" in Jakarta and 3rd price in the "National Piano Competition" held in northern Indonesia at Medan in 1993. She continued her training as a pianist until she moved to Germany. Hanny Kam began her studies in 1998 at Staatliche Hochschule fuer Musik in Karlsruhe, Germany, under the guidance of Prof. Roberto Domingos. In 2002 she was awarded a scholarship from EPTA (European Piano Teachers Association). She graduated with high honor cum laude in 2004. Her masterclasses include Prof. Andreas Werz, Prof. Alexander Braginsky, Prof. Dinorah Varsi, Prof. Rudolph Kehrer, Prof. Renate Kretschmar-Fischer, for piano solo, Yaara Tal and Andreas Grothuysen, for piano duo.
