Web design/development, bodyboarding, guitar, music in general (nearly all styles), Native American heritage and art, wild weather, beach babes, digital artistry, 3D animation, and whoopin' ass in Mario Kart Double Dash.
I'd like to meet:
Although he has passed on, I would have given anything to meet Michael Hedges, arguably the most gifted musician to ever walk this earth. His connection to his musical soul is always an inspiration and a goal for me.
Since the list of people I'd like to meet would go on forever, I would simply say that I'd like to meet with anyone who looks at life in a positive way and tries their hardest to make a difference... even when it's seemingly pointless.
Music:
I have an eclectic taste in music. I don't care about genres... good music is good music. Period.
A few of my favorites are: Pink Floyd, Joe Satriani, Santana, Steve Vai, Michael Hedges, Al Dimeola, Billy McLaughlin, Bob Marley, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, James Taylor, Neil Young, Parliament Funkadelic, Stevie Wonder, Rick James, Seal, Whodini, Grandmaster Flash...
The list goes on and on...
Movies:
Any bodyboarding or surf video, Dances With Wolves, The Jerk, Star Wars, Stargate
Television:
TURN IT OFF!!!
I am a confessed and recovering TV junkie. When I need a fix, I will watch any nature documentary, Carl Sagan's Cosmos, Steve Irwin (RIP), classic Simpsons, the Food Channel (Good Eats, Rachael Raye), or a bodyboard or surf video.
Since the news media spins the truth so badly, I do not watch the mainstream news anymore. Open your eyes to the world around you... not the boob tube.
Books:
I'm not very interested in fiction. I constantly crave knowledge, so I tend to read science and nature books. I am very interested in American Indian history and culture and have devoured hundreds of books such as "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" and "Black Elk Speaks" among other less popular titles.
I read (a.k.a. drooling over the photos) several bodyboarding magazines such as ROT, and Movement, as well as The Surfer's Journal, Heavy Water, and Freesurf.
Heroes:
Basically anyone who stands up for what is right is a hero in my book.
Above all others, however, Mister Rogers is my hero. Seriously. This man did more for our future than we will ever be able to comprehend. He was a man who was passionate about the future for our children and fought very hard to do good. Somewhere along the road, America decided that being bad or cool was more important than doing the right thing. I am proud to be uncool thanks to the lessons that Fred Rogers taught me. Go ahead, laugh. You're so cool.
