As a young man in search of truth, I found myself confronted by an ancient, yet living story, "The 10 Bulls" by the 12th century Chinese master Kakuan. They depict a journey, the goal of which is enlightenment... these are my interpretations of the master's work channeled one snowy night in Missoula Montana, 1976.

There was a time when dreams carried the day and good always prevailed over evil, everyone deserved credit for intelligence, NY radio ruled and brought us the cutting edge in all things music, Nixon was impeached, love was the answer and everything always turned out for the best....
When I woke up, Bush had hijacked an election, insane muslims blew up the World Trade Center, the love of my life was murdered, the ice caps are melting yet food, art and music still carry the power and allure of pure goodness on this tilted rock called earth...
Maybe there is faith, hope and love made whole through loss...
