Jonny Boots was born, and raised in Boston Mass, and attended Berklee college of music where he graduated with honors in 2002. Jonny is a versitile player, whos strengths range from relaxing jazz too energizing lead trumpet. He has appeared on stage with such artists as Roy Hargrove, Nicholas Payton, Jason Moran, Kevin Mahogany, Jimmy Greene, Nicholas Payton, Jeremy Pelt, Andre Hayward, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra in addition to Recording an album "Welcome to New Life" With The New Life Jazz Orchestra, Featuring Christian McBride. Boots has been seen on-stage at such renound settings as The Blue Note and Birdland jazz clubs in NYC, and Scullers, and The Regatta Bar Jazz clubs in Boston. Recently though Jon Has turned his interests to Musical theatre, and has perfored in Pit orchestras for many shows, Fame (Germany '06 cast) where he played the role of "Goody" playing, singing and acting on stage! It was a new experience. Boots has also played in pit orchestras for 42nd Street, Gypsy, 7 brides for 7 brothers (National Tour), The Full Monty, Sugar, as well as the International tour of Fosse. Jonny now lives in Germany, and is excited to open up yet another chapter in his already exciting, and varied career.
