TwinVision Promotion - College & Specialty

I am here for Networking

About Me

We're just a couple of hardworkin' gals who head up Twin Vision's College Radio Promotion Department. Our roots in the music industry run deep, having worked with/for a variety of different companies, labels, artists & genres. Below you'll find a lil blurb on each of us & our experiences.
It is actually SaLI that runs this page, SO IF you're interested in SUBMITTING your CD OR are interested in info regarding radio promotion (college, triple-a or various specialty formats) PLEASE SEND MESSAGE TO SALI HERE OR at: [email protected]).
Sali started her stint in the music industry as a dj for a small radio station at LCC in Mentor, Ohio. Almost immediately after she became a dj, the station's music director left the college. Sali then applied for, and got, the MD position at WTLS (no longer those call letters). She remained that station's MD for a few years, and left behind a legacy of never-ending enthusiasm, and great diligence with CMJ reporting. During her time as MD, she made many great connections (one of which was Amy). One of her connections, with TVT Records, offered the job of being their Cleveland Area Field Rep (the old term for "Street Team"). She served as such until her move to intern at the TVT offices in NYC. Shortly thereafter, she sought to become a radio promoter and found a home at Twin Vision. Here's a list of some of THE PROJECTS (TVT & Twin Vision) that she has worked :

Amy has worked for various independent record labels and music marketing companies. After five years busting her butt in the music industry she took a break to do fundraising work at non-profit organizations. Now, eight years later, Amy is back and ready to, once again, to promote the artists and bands that rock her world. She loves all different types of music, and it shows in the various genres of music she's worked over the years, such as alternative rock, power pop, punk, industrial, trip hop, jazz, world and blues. Here's a lil taste of THE PROJECTS (from the "various independent record labels and music marketing companies") that she has worked:

After years in the music industry, Amy & Sali each took a hiatus. BUT NOW, after said hiatus, they have resurrected the Twin Vision College Promotions department from its short sleep & are ready to work with killer musicians who want to get their music out there!
WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE AN INDEPENDENT RADIO PROMOTER ?
Radio promotion is meant to reach the places that you, the artists, cannot get to. You'll never know where they'll love you -- You might be planning on an East Coast tour, and find that the West Coast is going crazy for your stuff!
Additionally, the more people that are exposed to/hear your music, the more opportunities will open up for you. This can be anything from press to live gigs, to in-studio concerts, to sales at independent/local music stores.
WHY SHOULD YOU CONSIDER CHOOSING US ?
It's pretty simple, actually: We love music & respect those who make it. We have experience working in and an understanding of the music industry. We know the struggle of any indie musician, band, and label. We take on projects we believe in, projects we're passionate about, and we'll work very hard for those projects. Just as you, the musician, have made it your choice to take a chance on music as your path in life, so have we.
WHAT WILL WE DO TO PROMOTE YOUR ALBUM ?
For College: We draw from a list of college & public CMJ reporting stations (including all CORE stations) to develop a broad based national campaign, or a more selective target (focusing on a region, a genre, or specific stations). Any list we generate will be comprised of the most influential stations in the area. With regular contact & weekly reports, the artist will be able to track the album's progress.
For Triple-a: Our company has worked with adult alternative album radio since the format's inception over 15 years ago. Our list of over 200 commercial and public stations includes reporters to all the major radio trade publications (R&R,FMQB,CMJ). For MORE INFORMATION please SEE our main page : http://www.myspace.com/twinvision .
We are always open to, and enthusiastic about, CD submissions -- please, don't forget the one-sheet (and any other info you may think we need) We're always here to offer you our feedback, advice, and info about radio promotion.
Most of all, keep rockin' & keep doing it D.I.Y. INDIE-STYLE! Thanks for stopping by.
