About Me

New York City's P*S*K (aka POP*STAR*KIDS) ruled the Lower East Side with a neon-gloved fist from 2000 to 2006, releasing three full length CDs along the way. Their truly awe-inspiring live shows had everyone from stodgy critics (the Village Voice, All Music Guide) to admiring fellow musicians (Nuno Bettencourt, King's X) singing the praises of P*S*K, while the band's immaculately self-produced recorded material found its way into countless TV shows, films and college radio playlists.*****"Bands like The Faint can only dream of doing this as well as PSK...intense g uitar driven pop that places bands like The Cure, Cheap Trick, Jellyfish, Jane`s Addiction and Prince in the same sentence and has it all make perfect sense." -- Not Lame Recordings"PSK make the Cure look less than gloomy and make the Sex Pistols look like bubblegum" --Village Voice"Why is this band flying under the radar?! PSK sling sugar-sweet, post-eighties pop with a dose of Marc Bolan's 'bubblegum androgyny." --NYPress"PSK's eighties-inspired songs sizzle with their singer's clever and hyper-aware perspective" --Tris McCall Report"Sometimes swaggering and sometimes winsome, the giddy rush of vocals might actually be the band's secret weapon...delicious Pleasure Principle-snarl, or loving electroclash homage or both." -- All Music Guide"Aggro guitars and dancey beats combine with glammy vocals for an engaging '80's-tinged result" --CMJ"The future of rock and roll" --Nuno Bettencourt"PSK are nothing but nonsense." -- Pop Matters***************************************************** *********Buy The Revenge of P*S*K on CD Baby"Music is continuous -- only listening is intermittent" ~Thoreau
