About Me

I'm a costume designer for theatre and film... so I'm into theatre, performance, and the arts, but I'd be hesitant to call myself an artist. I'm one of those people that gets drunk and then does really bad karoke. I spend most of my spare time sewing, reading or writing, or drinking downtown to the sound of local bands. I occasionally dance with a burlesque troup i co-founded called The Trouble Squad - we only do non-traditional acts, beacuse i can't take myself seriously when naked. I have a tendency to be there when shenanigans begin, and I can start a dance party at the drop of a hat. I've had a pirate fixation for several years, and could tell you a dozen pirate jokes. I love working with my hands - creating things: welding, cross-stiching, sculpting, painting. I love rainy days and my down comforter (I still sleep with my teddy bear). i love scratch-off tickets, black t-shirts, and hazelnuts. I get sucked into books and fall in love with literary people. I'm a huge Sci-Fi/Fantasy geek. i have several guilty pleasures and will never apologize for them. i love the smell of leather and the sound of thunder. I have the greatest group of friends in the world, and would kill and/or die for them. I love Indian food. And sushi. and skull-themed decor. I hate shoe shopping. I hate double standards and hidden agendas. I hate drama for the sake of drama. and dishonesty. and working. I hate how reality TV sucks you in and wastes your time. I can be dangerously perky or exceptionally chilled out. I'm kinda sarcastic, judgemental, and sassy, but i still think of myself as being nice overall. on the whole, I'm pretty easygoing and just like to have a good time, especially if it involves drinks.

My Interests

reading, sewing, writing, designing, relaxing, drinking, making fun of ghetto people, talking smack, not working, seeing local shows, chilling, welding, scultping, pirates, planning my next tattoo, making out with hot chicks, watching sci-fi shows i've seen dozens of times before, chasing booty, laughing at my friends, trying new things, meeting new people, stuff, stuff, and more stuff.

I'd like to meet:

I don't want your sex! i like people who love to laugh - especially at their friends, when they do something dumb. someone just as comfortable hanging out at the local pub as they are staying home and reading. Someone who wants to argue over drinks until dawn, and then engage in drunken hooliganism. someone who has opinions, and defends them well. someone to teach me, and to learn from me. someone who doesn't take themselves so seriously! if you can take it just as well as you dish it out, we can hang. cause man, i talk a lot of shit.
