P!
Libertarian political theory, anarchy and individualist/voluntarist/mutualist movements, anime, music, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Calvin and Hobbes, movies, introspection, current events, my 2002 VW TDI Golf , sarcasm, keeping my friends off balance, the Net & technology, making an ass of myself, decrying the state of intellectual progress, smoking pot and slowly losing my memory, pointing out the absurdities in commercials and sitcoms, criticizing people and ideas, and tasty beer.
I bitch a lot, but usually for good reasons. :)
I'd like to meet:
You got the cat person thing, right? It's just a preference, but a subtle one. Dog folks are fine, just not the barky ones.
I like people who enjoy small crowds, wide ranges of music, and have an inner flame that can't be put out. Embarassment must not come easily as my friends and I engage in it in mutual rituality. Unless you have a cute embarrassed smile. Then I'll try to embarrass you all the time.
I'm anti-drama, but I love listening to others cope with theirs. I'm sorta the go-to guy in my circle of friends regarding this.
According to every profile I've read, EVERYONE is fun, has a good sense of humor, down to Earth, caring, outgoing, outdoorsy, and nice. Damn. I never thought so many of you people existed!...so I'll be different and say I'm a mean-spirited, holier-than-thou, over-hyphenated, plain 'ol jackass who prefers the dull institutionalism of four unadorned white apartment walls than the searing burden of a bright sunny day. How contrarian can you be?
Moviegoers, pubcrawlers, readers, TV critics, music afficionadoes, and serial laughers all make great company. Sarcastomatics are also encouraged to apply.
Someone who understands the joy and wonder of the journey as well as the destination. Someone willing to explore. Someone who can think clearly, understand concepts, and "get" that there are people who direct their lives according to principles and these people don't like being slandered as dogmatic extremists.
