Highland Piper

Player & Teacher of the Great Highland Bagpipes

About Me

I started out playing the pipes with the City of Bradford Pipe Band, in West Yorkshire in 1989 and stayed with the band for 9 years, playing at Fetes, Gala's, Fun Days, Concerts, Rememberance Days and suchlike !.... all good fun, but hard work, a lot of marching !! I also piped at many of my own engagements, Weddings, Birthdays, Burns Suppers, a lot of New Year engagements, etc.... I had a regular gig nearly every year on two successive Saturdays and Sunday, at Skipton Victorian Market, North Yorkshire. I played at many of the West Yorkshire Police annual officers dinner at the Police HQ in Wakefield.... on these occasions the Chief Constable was Guest of Honour. As part of a mini band of piping friends (including my wife, Suzie)...we went to Normandy, France, for the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings, in 1994, where we played for thousands of people on the beaches at Arromanches, the British Cemetery at Ranvile, Pegasus Bridge, St. Mere-Eglize and the City of Caen..... what a trip !!! Since moving to the North East of Scotland, I have concentrated on playing at Birthdays, Funerals and especially Weddings, as well as teaching pipes to a number of very good pupils. Thanks for visiting my site.......Get Your Own! | View Slideshow
