Original String Ensembles and Guitar Playing

About Me

I am from Brampton, Ontario and I have been playing guitar since 1984. I first became interested in music as a 15 year old when my friend asked me if I played guitar ( I didn't at the time ) and if I wanted to start a heavy metal band with him. Two years later I bought a classical guitar and studied music in high school. I went on to study music full time at Humber College in Rexdale, Ontario ( my guitar teacher was Peter Harris ) from 1987 to 1989, mainly jazz and classical and rock. In the early 1990's I wrote and transcribed classical music ( mostly Bach ). Later on my interests moved from music to travelling and hockey and books. It wasn't until I bought a computer in 2000 that I began to write music on the computer using Cakewalk. IN 2005 I created my first CD: 16 String Ensembles after a one month classical writing spree. I used the Cakewalk Music Creator 2 ( it was anything but a cakewalk as I had to contact Cakewalk several times to get it to work, GGGGRRRR!!!! ). I have posted 4 songs from my CD on my profile. Enjoy!!! My website is www.bobcrispmusic.i8.com My email address is [email protected] Bob
I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!"FOREVER AUTUMN" by Justin Hayward Played on Two Guitars830 NOTES PLAYED IN 67 SECONDSMe Playing J.S. Bach ( Gavotte, Partita 3 in Emaj )Original Heavy Metal Guitar Solo: "Infliction Injection"Original Heavy Metal Solo: "Rise of the Dragon"Original Heavy Metal Solo: "Grinding Hault"I play "Going to California" by Led Zeppeling on two guitars. The first is played on my classical guitar, pre-recorded. The second is played live on my Ibenez acoustic.Guitar Solo Using a Violin Bow ( 3 of 3 ) I use a Jay Tursur guitar, a violin bow, a Boss ME-5 effects unit, and a wha pedal for this guitar solo."Bourree in Emin" by J.S. Bach I play this piece on my new Godin classical guitar. I have been playing this piece for over 20 years, but this is the first time I have recorded it."Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" by J.S. Bach I play this piece on my new Godin classical guitar. I have been playing this piece for over 18 years, and transcribed/arranged it from an orchestral version, but this is the first time I have recorded it.J.S. Bach Played On The Electric Guitar by Bob Crisp (1 of 2) This is an excerpt from Toccata and Fugue in Dmin by J.S. Bach that I play on my 1986 Fender Stratocaster. I had arranged this piece for guitar several years ago, but this is my first recording of it. Enjoy!!!J.S. Bach Played On The Electric Guitar by Bob Crisp (2 of 2)Yesterday by The Beatles Playes on the classical guitar. This version of Yesterday by The Beatles was arranged by Joe Washington from the book "The Beatles for Classical Guitar" ( C.1974 ).The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin. This version of "The Rain Song" by Led Zeppelin is a wee bit shorter than ther original ( I left out the G F and C chords played in the middle ). I play it on my 2004 Jay Turser through a 1989 Boss ME-5 Guitar Effects Unit...This guitar solo I came up with using a violin bow, a wha-wha pedal, and my Boss ME-5 effects rack. I tuned my Jay Turser guitar down one full tone to D. Clealy a Jimmy Page influence here. Enjoy!!This heavy distortion guitar solo I came up with is played in D harmonic minor, often used in baroque and classical music ( same as minor, but the 7th is sharp ). I am playing it on my Fender Strat that I have owned for 20 years, and through a Boss ME-5 guitar effects... width="425" height="350">.. .. .. .. ....>
