"He that is spiritual judgeth [discerneth] all things, yet he himself is judged [discerned] of no man" (I Cor. 2:15).
The truly spiritual man is so far above the wisest sages of this world, yes, so far above the mass of Christians with whom he comes into contact, that he can understand them, but they can never quite understand him.
We should all long to be truly spiritual, but what is true spirituality?
In the Pauline Epistles the human race is divided, by the Spirit, into four classes: the natural man, the babe in Christ, the carnal Christian, and the spiritual Christian.
All four of these are referred to in one passage of Scripture (I Cor. 2:14—3:4) and it should be noted that they are classified according to their ability to appreciate and assimilate "the things of God" as revealed in His Word.
Through diligent, prayerful study of the Word, and with a sincere desire to obey it, the spiritual man has come to know God and the Lord Jesus Christ more and more intimately. Babes in Christ and carnal believers about him cannot "discern" him, simply because they have not come to know God as he. But he, having grown to spiritual maturity, quite under-stands them. He is among those of whom it is written:
"But strong meat [solid food] belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil" (Heb. 5:14).
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the
brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
1 JOHN 3:14
For who has aught to love and loves aright,
Will never in the darkest strait despair,
For out of love exhales a living light,
The light of love, that spends itself in prayer.
Love is life, and lovelessness is death. As the grace of God changes
a man's heart and cleanses and sanctifies him, this is the great
evidence of the change, this is the great difference which it makes;
that he begins to grow in love, to lay aside self-seeking, and to
live for others--and so he may know that he has passed from death
unto life. He may know it even here and now--yes, that great
discovery of love, that learning to live for others and finding the
grace and gentleness that God is keeping up all over the world, even
now it is the way from death to life. Even now it changes homes, it
lightens every burden, it brings peace and gladness into the hardest
days; it alters even the tone of a man's voice and the very look of
his face. But all this, blessed and surpassing as it is, far above
all else in the world, still is but the beginning. For that life into
which we pass, as God's dear grace of love comes in us and about us,
is the very life of heaven.
You are the book of 2 Timothy. Firm in your faith, you believe in making sure the veracity of the Word of God is adhered to and aren't afraid to "tell it like it is"! Others view you as strong-willed, and inclined to being opionated, but they respect your vast array of knowledge and information, not only about the Bible, but life in general!
You are the book of Song of Solomon. Idealistic and romantic, you view your relationship with God and others as one big love story. Others view you as an eternally optimistic dreamer, and inclined to fantasy at times, but they admire your compassion and kindness!

Bob Craine: "2007--ENTER INTO WHAT GOD IS DOING WITH EXPECTANCE, DISCERNMENT, AND RECEPTIVITY"
"We must break the mold of the past and develop a new expectation for God to move anytime, anywhere, and in any way He wills."
God Wants to Prepare Us:
I believe that the Spirit of God is more active today than many of us realize. One of our struggles is discerning when and where God is moving. In our busy society, we run at such a pace, that it's possible to rush past a time and a place where God wanted to encounter us. There is little that we can do about our busyness, except plan to protect our time so that we don't miss God.
When God intends to do something, He will often make it known to groups and/or individuals ahead of time. These advance notices are invitations. Sometimes, God invites people to partner with Him in bringing His miracles to pass. He gives us notice so that we can pray God's wonderful works into being and prepare our hearts for what He wants to do.
Often there are conditions that must be fulfilled in order to realize God's gift. Joel 2:28 could not be fulfilled until the last days. Isaiah 9 and 11 couldn't come to pass until Jesus was born. The devil worked hard trying to kill Jesus, so that the greatest promises of eternity would be thwarted. That's what much of the busyness in our lives is all about.
If the devil can keep us busy doing good things, especially religious things, so much so that our time with Jesus suffers, he may be able to distract me from seeing and entering into an encounter with God.
There are invitations from God that you don't need to wait for; they are to be received today, right now. For instance, in John 20:22, Jesus breathed on the disciples and said, "...receive the Holy Spirit." He didn't say, "Pray about it or think about it." He said to receive the Holy Spirit right now.
Enter Into What God is Doing:
Over the years, I have heard prophetic words about what God is going to do. Sometimes these prophecies (I believe are from God) never come to pass. I believe that the reason is that a lot of believers don't realize that what God wants to do in the future, often starts today, right now, with me. If I don't enter into what God is doing right now, I believe it's possible that what God wants to do in the future may not come to pass.
God is all-powerful, yet much of the time He uses people to bring about His purposes. God is doing some great things today, and sometimes we don't even recognize that He's moving! God is greatly showing up in churches, and we may not even notice because we're preoccupied, distracted, or have become dull to Him; and without expectation. It's possible, for people who want what God has for them, to miss what God is currently doing because they get caught up in routine.
God has been teaching me about His sovereignty the last couple of years. In other words, He can do anything He wants to do anytime and however He pleases. God is not at all restricted to doing what He's done in the past.
Worship with Expectancy for the Miraculous:
"God causes His throne to descend in the midst of people who worship Him."
Psalm 22:3, says that God dwells in the Holy place where the praises are offered. Our worship becomes God's throne or God causes His throne to descend in the midst of people who worship Him.
I've discovered that when people worship with an expectation, God sits down in the middle of worship, and He comes with a purpose, and His purpose is to touch His people, with HEALING, DELIVERENCE, and RESTORATION.
In most places that I go to minister, I've realized that people come with an expectation, and God has indeed been sitting down in worship with a purpose. My job is to discern the presence of God and to declare that God is present to minister healing and wholeness.
I was in Kingston, Massachusetts, when God's presence was so profound during worship that I was undone. I don't ever recall a more profound encounter with God. When I finally made my way to the platform, I raised my hands in adoration then realized that I hadn't raised my shoulder over my head in more than 2 years because of a bad rotator cuff. It was instantly free. I realized that as I worshipped, God descended in worship and healed me.
I simply announced that God was present to heal, and asked if any who came with pain or limitations, discovered that they were now pain-free or could now move in a way they couldn't do before worship. After checking their bodies for pain or limited mobility, about 50 or more people responded as being pain-free or had regained their mobility, including a woman with M.S. who danced and ran around the room. These healings also recently happened in Maine, London, and central California too.
2007--A Year of Expectance, Discernment and Receptivity
Yes, God uses people to minister to people, but God is not limited to a ministry team or a ministry time. I am not saying that God's new formula for healing is during worship, but He can and does heal during worship when He chooses to. As His church, we must break the mold of the past and develop a new expectation for God to move anytime, anywhere, and in any way He wills.
I believe that 2007 will be a year of Expectance, Discernment and Receptivity.
********************************************************
EXPECTENCE:
We must allow the Spirit of God to develop in us an anticipation that God will show up anywhere and anytime to display His power.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DISCERNMENT:
We must recognize when God is moving and know what He is doing, so that our thing doesn't interfere with His thing.
RECEPTIVITY:
We need to receive what God is doing even if we don't understand what He's doing.
Kathie Walters: IN 2007, THINGS ARE GOING TO MOVE QUICKLY--THE WINDS OF CHANGE ARE BLOWING ON YOU, EVEN NOW!
When I was in Ireland at the End of November, I had a Vision of a Town where very Strong Winds began to Blow through the Streets...
I saw a woman walking; she had on a red coat and head scarf. When I saw the red coat, I realized the woman represented the "Church" (covered by the blood). The head scarf though, I felt represented a "lifestyle." You are meant to have a crown.
The wind came behind this woman; a very strong wind. It blew her to the end of the street and AROUND A CORNER. The woman's head scarf came off, and then she began to laugh and enjoy the wind.
The next day in Ireland, there were 80-mph winds blowing. When the Lord gave me the same word in the U.S. a couple of weeks ago, the next day there were 80-mph winds blowing in the Northwest too!
Sing Praises in the Shaking"If you stay in the Shaker, you won't be shaken."
We have heard words of earthquakes and storms and all kinds of natural disasters, so the best place to be is in THE WILL OF GOD.
When Paul and Silas were in the "inner" prison, and by the way, that means they were in a prison within a prison (that's a double whammy), with their hands and feet tied to the same prison and their backs bleeding, they sang praises to God.
Guess what the power of their praises did? It caused an earthquake! The whole prison was reeling and shaking. The prison doors burst open, and in the middle of the earthquake when the whole place was shaking around them, they got the jailor saved. The best place to be during a shaking is IN THE SHAKER! If you stay in the Shaker, you won't be shaken.
The Winds of Change
"The winds will cause you to see the whole PICTURE."
Back to the winds--the winds of change are coming and are already moving around you. God wants to change and expand your vision. He wants to equip you and release you into a GREAT BIG DESTINY.
He wants to totally change how you see yourself--the winds will cause you to see the whole PICTURE. You will turn corners, you will change direction, you will do what you've only had small glimpses of in the past. You will begin to step into this BIG PICTURE.
Remember Jeremiah? Jeremiah by the way was a teenage prophet! He was a young guy; he didn't have a great ministry behind him and years of experience. He was scared of his calling actually, and tried to get out of it. "Who am I, I'm just a kid," and God told him not to be afraid. Jeremiah 1
God said to Jeremiah, "What do you see?" Jeremiah responded, "I see the rod of an Almond Tree." God said, "I like that vision, I think I will do it" (Walter's version). The New King James version says, "You have well seen, for I am ready to perform My Word." Jeremiah 1:12
SO, GOD DID WHAT JEREMIAH SAW BY FAITH.
What do You See by Faith?
"By faith, we have to see what HE SEES."
So let me ask you, "What do you see today? What do you see for you personally?" It has to start with you. You have to see by faith. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what He sees for YOU, and then you must see it too, and agree with it, and go after it.
Some of you will remember the old TV's we used to have. At some point, the tube would start to go. Remember what happened then? The picture would shrink and get smaller and smaller. Well you are seeing a shrunken picture, and likewise, by faith, we have to see what HE SEES. He wants to show you the whole picture. It's a very big picture.
Most people's picture of themselves have been influenced by their environment, their family, and their school--the teacher, the preacher, the college, and the friends.You can do what God calls you to do, and it's bigger, much bigger than you thought.
It's not the will of God that we live hand-to-mouth and paycheck-to-paycheck. There are things to do and places to go. God is not trying to recruit workers for the Kingdom--thanks all the same. He is looking for His sons and daughters to rise up. The anointing does not come on what you do--it comes on what HE does.
The winds of change will bring you into a bigger place. The provisions that God has promised are around God's corner. Turning the corner, though, means you may have to change direction. Just because God told you to do something six months ago, doesn't mean He's telling you that now.
Jesus said in Matthew 4:4, that we should live by the "Proceeding Word of God." That's what the Word of God is speaking to you today. Not yesterday, not a year ago, but NOW. It's the "Proceeding Word" that moves you onto the next thing that God has. Each step takes you nearer to that VISION.
Dare to Believe What You See
So let me ask you another question, "What do you see? What do you see by faith?" God has put His desires in your heart if you are yielded to Him. It's not there just to dream about; its not a "one day, someday" thing. It's a NOW--this time, this year.
There are two things you can do with the change:
You can resist change and it can get really uncomfortable. No one can make you as uncomfortable as the "Comforter."
Or, you can embrace change and have fun. You can embrace change and have an adventure. I'm sure most people reading this have "gone out on a limb" before. There's really nothing hard about going out on a limb; it's when you hear the sound of the saw behind you that the challenge comes. And God has an abundance of saws available and plenty of angels to use them!
Take some time. Let the things that God has put in your heart come to the surface, and dare to believe what you see. See outside the box others have put you in, and maybe, you've put yourself in. Remember, it's not dependent upon your ability or your lack of ability--it's His Spirit moving in you and through you.
Jesus qualified you 100% when He died and arose from the dead. There is nothing to stop you from stepping into the picture you see by faith, except your own unbelief.
2007 Can Be Your Year
Can you hear the wind? Can you see the winds stirring the tops of the Mulberry Trees?
"And it shall be, when you hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then you shall go out to battle: for God is gone forth before you to smite the host of the Philistines." 1 Chronicles 14:15
The Philistines were thieves; they would steal the harvest. Don't let the thief steal your harvest, and don't allow him to steal your vision!
2007 CAN BE YOUR YEAR to move out and move into something GREAT. Listen friends, the anointing is on the BODY of CHRIST. It's not the platform, that's just a small part. It's not a few people--it's YOU God has called.
The wind is blowing over you, and around you, but you have to yield to the wind...It's time for YOU.
Many Blessings for 2007,
