SHONON'S BIOGRAPHY:Shonon is a citizen of the United Federation of Planets, born on the planet Vulcanis of vulcan parents in the year 2337, his father was an officer in starfleet and his mother was a scientist for the Federation. Most of Shonon's youth was spent constantly moving from one posting to another on various starships and starbases. As a result, Shonon always had a great interest in various species and cultures. In fact, before leaving school, Shonon was fluent in seven languages; Vulcan, Federation Standard, Klingon, Romulan, Orion, Cardassian and BajoranAs soon as Shonon was old enough, he joined Starfleet Academy, specialized in security with minors in science and engineering and cross trained as a medic. After graduating from the Academy, Shonon attended the advanced tactical training school, then continued his studies in leadership and diplomacy, covert operations and advanced weapons technologies.Shonons first assignment, as a security officer, was on the Starship USS Kirk, while still assigned to the USS Kirk, he was temporarily succonded to Starfleet Intelligence and was sent to Bajor undercover as a journalist, for five days, to gather Intelligence about the Cardassian occupation of Bajor, after which Shonon was assigned to the
USS Melbourne just in time for it to be lost in the battle of Wolf 359, he was awarded a bravery commendation for repeatedly carrying wounded crewmen to an escape pod, after this he was assigned to work with commander Elizabeth Shelby in developing anti Borg weaponry and tactics, it was on their recommendation that Starfleet initiated the construction of the Defiant class Starship.Shonon's next assignment was back working for Starfleet Intelligence undercover with the Orion Syndicate gathering intelligence for six months, he was then sent to Romulus, there he met Ambassador Spock, working with him in his bid for reunification, soon after Starfleet Security wanted to assign Shonon to an under cover mission to infiltrate the Maquis under the command of Capt Janeway of the USS
Voyager, however Ambassador Spock requested that Shonon be allowed to remane with him, Starfleet Security agreed and replaced Shonon with Tuvok.When the Dominion war begun, Shonon was recalled from Romulus and assigned as Chief of Security on the USS Owen, It was here that he met a young vulcan ensign named T'Kathy, they were both still assigned there when the USS Owen took part in the retaking of DS9.When the Romulans
joined the war on the side of the Federation, Shonon was assigned to the Romulan flagship as liaison officer between the Federation & the Romulans.At the completion of the Dominion war, Shonon was appointed as Head of Security in the Federation sector for the military occupation of cardassia. Ten years later Shonon retired from Starfleet and moved back to Vulcanis where he still lives with his wife t'Kathy and teachers at the Vulcan Academy of Defensive Arts.
