A native of Los Angeles, Peter is the son of a minister (Rev. John C. Jamerson).

Peter grew up listening to jazz artists like the incomparable Sarah Vaughn, and the incredible Mel Torme.
Gospel music also played a huge part in his artistic development. "...my musical tastes range from one end of the spectrum, to the extreme opposite. I have been influenced by a number of popular artists - both Christian and mainstream. Amazingly talented artists like Elton John, Keith Green, Walter Hawkins, Andrae Crouch, and Stevie Wonder have helped shape my musical style."Nearly born on a church pew, "I came to know Christ at a very early age. And, growing up in a Christian home, I was blessed to have parents who truly lived their lives according to Godly principles."After graduating from Atlanta's pretigious Morehouse College, Peter returned to California where he began to serve God with a renewed passion.An accomplished worship leader at one of the most prominent mega-churches in Los Angeles for several years, Peter has learned how to effectively lead people into the presence of God.
"Over the years, I've had the priveledge of working with a number of music industry headliners like William Murphy, Tim Miner, Bebe Winans, Shirley Ceasar, Israel Houghton, Deneice Williams, Marvin Winans, Darlene Zschech, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Jeff Fenholt, Ron Kenoly, Phil Driscoll - and even the great classical vocalist Andrea Boccelli as well as some of the worlds most anointed ministers like Mario Murillo, Dr. Jack Hayford, Dr. Morris Cerullo, Hal Lindsey, Bishop Clarence E. McClendon, Dwight Thompson and Ed DuFresne.Peter has appeared on The Trinity Broadcasting Networks Praise The Lord program, as well as a number of nationally syndicated television programs and specials like NBC's The Tonight Show starring Jay Leno, Cathy Hughes' TV One's Gospel and Black Entertainment Television's (BET) Celebration of Gospel.In 2006, Peter worked with Robert Stearns of Eagles Wings Ministries (WWW.EAGLESWINGS.TO) of Buffallo, NY as part of the worship team at the Azuza Street Centennial Celebration held in Los Angeles. "This was without question one of the most incredible events I've ever had the opportunity to be a part of. Over twenty thousand believers from nearly every continent of the world... coming together with one purpose in mind... to see the manifested Glory of God! It was an amazing experience! Thousands were filled with God's precious Holy Spirit, while countless others were healed and delivered. It was simply unbelievable!""...God' is so wonderful... His love for us is imeasurable.
