James Cole - biographyHe graduated the History-Sociology Faculty from Szeged, where he got in contact with the techno culture, as a result of his research for the licence diploma. In this way, he got to the Check Magazine as its editor between 2001-2002, who also coordinated the artistic part of the magazine. Since 1998, he has started perfoming as a dj, due to the famous parties in Club Crown and his dj friends, mainly from his native town, Kecskemét, who supported him (Sur-Prise, Garfield, Pat Duff). Then, he started to organize parties together with Pat Duff in the Watertower Club (Kecskemét) and set up the BADGIRLS parties. Since then, they have organized several parties using the Badgirls name, mainly in the X-Treme Music Club (Kecskemét), in the legendary Stadler Bar (Akasztó), in the inspiring Club Crown and open air parties.Now he is Club Crown’s resident dj, where he is also its promoter. In this position, his name is connected to the organization of several mega parties, as the Kecel Electronic Music Festival 2003, where 27 djs performed (7 foreign djs), including live acts, on 4 stages. Since then, he has organized this Festival yearly. The latest successful Festival was on 22nd July 2006, when the 3 stages (including the swimming pool stage) gathered names such as Desyn Masiello, Lee Burridge, Phonique, 16 Bit Lolitas, Tarkan, Nikki B, and Christian E.F.F.E., Alex Elle, Dj Acim… In the last 5 years he has played in almost all famous Hungarian clubs and discos, together with well-known djs, as John Digweed, Deep Dish, Steve Lawler, Sander Kleinenberg, Satoshi Tomiie, Nick Warren, Lee Burridge, Jimmy Van M, Sandra Collins, Anthony Pappa, John Creamer & Stephane K, Chris Fortier, Steve Porter, Flash Brothers, Matthew Dekay, Chris Scott(Echomen), Justin Drake (Peace Division); Ashley Caselle, Nils Noa, G-Pal, Sultan, Marcus James, Oliver McGregor, Frederik, Darko, Paul Rogers, Chris Gainer, Carl Kennedy, Astro&Glide etc., and in Romania, too.As regards his style, the deep epic and minimal house is close to him, but he moves on a large scale during his sets, from the ambient, downtempo vinyls to the progressive tracks, depending on the time he plays (warm-up or main set).
