* He was born on 29th of July 1975 Pecica (Arad), the largest village in Romania as one of Roby-s closest friend liked to believe. The first contact with the music he had was at the age of, in 1987, when he got his hands on a Pop Rock Magazine brought from Hungary. The first vynil he bought was a Queen album and the second - Talking. Living very near to Hungary, his first contacts with “modern” “fashionable” music were also related to Hungary. As in Hungary “electronic” music was in fashion, his first bounds with this music were established through Depeche Mode, The Cure, Erasure, Camouflage or Front 242 sounds. In 1991 he decides to get involved actively in the promotion of this phenomena – electronic music for the first time in Romania. He contributes actively as an organizer and promoter, to the opening of the first electronic music club in the western part of Romania, in his birth village Pecica, at that time the biggest village in the country at that. Having only a couple of cd-players and a magnetophone, the club didn’t have conditions for mixing ,even though the club had a mixer. In january 1995 takes place the first “House Party”, for the birthday of a close friend. It was the beginning of a collaboration untill 1997. The New Years Eve 1997-1998 was the opening with a new look of Discoland Club in Timisoara. In January ’98 Roby starts working with this club being a resident and organizing bigger events with important. The firs gig had playing Dj Budai from Hungary, one of “the most wanted” western of Tisza. In the summer he went to Hungary to see Marusha, but instead he found Sylvie, the most famous in Eastern Europe. Impressed by her , he declares even now that he owes her a lot. At the end of the summer he comes back to Discoland where he made parties with Mike Lovechild and “the recent discovered” Sylvie for the first time in Romania. Kool stayed resident in Discoland in ’99 untill he experienced something positive that seemed a lot like what he saw in Hungary:”at 6 in the morning 600 people war dancind in mudd an d having a blast in the rain! Dj Kool said that it was a shock – it was the outdoorfestival From Hoya. “That’s when I started to say that I am a Dj”. The music style - trance & progressive. In 2000 he went to Hungary,again, where he saw working Anthony Pappa, Nick Warren and Sasha. During this time he didn’t forgot about Pecica and he organized in the basement of the local school underground parties with dj’s from Hungary and Yugoslavia. From the winter of 2000 till summer of 2001, he collaborates with Cluj Raving Society and plays and helped organizing a succesfull edition of Transilvanian Summit, gest dj Norman Austin (Ministry of Sound). It followed parties in Chisinau-Cris and Santana, where came Sylvie, Sterbinszky, Dusan, Kuhl and so on... From the fall of 2000 ‘till 1st of july 2001 (Tommyboy played a lot during this period) he starts collaborating with the Blu Gin Club,Baia Mare. This club became the best club in Romania hosting name like Budai, Junior, Sterbinszky sau Tommyboy. Cluj Raving Societyand Bianco e Nero Club, Cluj, start bringing kool at a few Dj Gatherings,along with Kuhl, Shootie, Surprise and in june Luis Paris, “a giant step” first dj of this kind from Plastic Fantastic ). Even now Roby speacks very highly of this party with Luis Paris, the best gig since: “next day at noon there were stil a lot of people dancing there…”. There you could say the public was formed more of “conoseurs”! In 2001 – first invitation to Bucharest, in Studio Martin, for the Zero parties. Up next is Ciuc Premium Ibiza Summer Groove from Oxxo (Mamaia, summer 2001), where he was resident along Dj Pagal. "Here the face of music changed in good for the people in Bucharest ", sais Kool about club Oxxo and the best afterhours on the Sea side. Summer 2001 – Ghioroc Lake along Rhadoo, Sky, Dusan si Pagal – a superb party! Same year - Love Parade Budapest, invited on the Check Magazine Truck, with Slam Jr., Lucien Foort, afterwards a Freee Magazine & BPM party with Corvin Dalek, Oliver MacGregor plus most of the top dj’s in Hungaria - 3 halls and over 6000 people... The fall of 2001 Kool goes to Bucharest. Here he is resident with Dj Pagal, in Space Club(Hybrid, Chriss, Surprise sau Oliver MacGregor. He also plays in Colours, Space, Wings, Shadow, MCM Cafe, The Web and Voodoo, the clubs in fashion at that time. Next years he is resident in Kristal Klub Bucharest and the “kristal Summer” in Mamaia on the Seaside, but he doesn’t stop here. He keeps plaing in Timisoara, Arad, Cluj, Baia Mare and in Hungaria at Kecel, Home , Pacha, B52 Pecs,Akasto Stadler Stadium and in Ricionne, Italy.
