Valentin was born on 26/05/1976. He has always been dedicated to music. In high school he had been responsible for school radio and organized school events and parties. From the beginning of the 90’s he started listening to techno and hard core music, but when the Global Underground and Ministry of Sound series came out his preference started to change. The breakthrough came when he first became aware of the music of Sasha, Oakenfold, Digweed and Deep Dish. From this time on music became a way of life for him. He listened to the architecture of music, the way it is built up and in 2005 he bought his first computer to start creating music.
In 2006 he met Laura and her voice made it clear for him that they would have to work together. They founded the Autodidact feat Laura project and created a style that is full of fine melodies. It could be best described as progressive or epic house with chill elements.Laura was born on 24/02/1983. She became involved in music when the first Global Underground releases came out and she immediately became a fan of progressive sounds. She started mixing tracks on the computer and prepared several progressive house compilations for friends. She met Valentin in 2006 who needed a singer and she relized that she loves writing lyrics, melodies and singing on various tracks.
