About Me

Comic book artist, pin-up girl, lead singer for Ardour of Angels , synth player for Ex-VoTo

I illustrate for Seraphemera Books , a gothique boutique publisher of handmade books, handmade journals, gothic novelties, new writer chapbooks, comic books and more... including (my pride and joy) the comic "Polyglot & Spleen", "The Romanti-goth A to Z Coloring Book"When I'm not making art, I'm making music, modeling, eating a lot of bread, cuddling deathrockers and playing with my crazy cat, Boo.

My Interests

Drawing, comics, writing captions for baked goods, publishing, Theatre, singing, baking, reading, fonts, photoshop, afternoon naps, cats who drool when you pet them, walking around grocery stores, Mythology (all cultures), food science, Victorian funeral practices, sexuality, spirituality, general skullduggery, and Goth fashion and period clothing!

I'd like to meet:

Artists, photographers, models, creatives, comic book readers. I'm always on the lookout for people to collaborate with in regards to Seraphemera. I love to work with goth/alt businesses- commissioned artwork and modeling for trade.

Music:

I hate labels. It seems that there is a different category for every band now, and a wild obsession with pegging people according to their musical tastes. It seems in order to be "unique" and "hip" you can only listen to bands who only 5 other people know about. I like what I like, and I don't care if it is "cool" or not to like it. That being said...bring on the 80's tunes!

Movies:

Gone with the Wind, Pulp Fiction, METROPOLIS, Lon Chaney's "The Phantom of the Opera, Wings of Desire, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Point, American Beauty, The Seven Year Itch, Some Like it Hot, Death to Smoochy, The Last Unicorn, As Good as it Gets, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Ghost World, SLC Punk, LOTR Trilogy, Edward Scissorhands, Vincent, Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Rebecca, Amelie, Clerks, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Bubba Ho Tep, Harold and Maude, Singing in the Rain, The King and I, My Fair Lady, The Shining, About Schimdt, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Truman Show, Sense and Sensibility, Rushmore, The Royal Tennenbaums, Indiana Jones Trilogy (my fav is Temple of Doom), Invasion of the Bodysnatchers, Perfume: Story of a Muderer, Stranger than Fiction

Television:

Fraiser, South Park, Good Eats...I don't own a TV though

Books:

anything by Neil Gaiman, Edward Gorey, Tennesse Williams, George Carlin, Oscar Wilde, Douglas Adams... I love folk tales and fairy tales- archetypal stories that are seeds of our dreams and desires

Heroes:

Freddie Mercury, Andrew Eldritch, Peter Murphy, Alton Brown, Neil Gaiman, The Moorash
