Offices are upstairs, in the Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museum 7910 Park Ave, Houma,LA.The mission of the Houma Regional Arts Council is to promote and provide cultural activities, through a partnership of public and private funding, that meet the needs of our individual communities.The Houma Regional Arts Council supports a number of programs designed to enhance the arts and to make them accessible to everyone in our region. Through the Louisiana Decentralized Arts Funding Program grants and the Terrebonne Parish Arts Funding Program, the arts council provides over $85,000 in direct monetary support to artists and organizations in Terrebonne Parish and is responsible for administering the over $145,750.00 in Decentralized funds in Lafourche,St. Charles, St. John, St. James and Assumption parishes. In addition to providing assistance to artists and organizations, the Houma Regional Arts Council provides programs such as visual art exhibits,performing arts shows, visual art workshops & lectures, grant writing workshops & assitance and a cultural calendar of events for the region. The council also organizes many events throughout the year including the ArtSense visual arts camp,College Inn Reunion, Hearts for Arts, Main to Main Fall Arts festival,outdoor movie screenings, Art Market in Courthouse Square, and more!Houma Regional Arts Council Louisiana Division of the ArtsLouisiana Partnership for the ArtsKenny Hill/Chauvin Sculpture GardenSoLa Center for the ARts
