hallo, mazie!

About Me

Tramplini formed originally in Liepaja back in 1997, and a year later, released debut EP Planetas. After a short period of silence Tramplini ganged up again but his time in Riga. This is when one of the most beautiful Latvian female vocalists Anete joined the band. During 2006 they released their 2nd, 5 song EP Hallo, mazie!, combining the best indie, slow core and lo-fi traditions, as well as sophisticated and stylistically sounds much like Yo la Tengo or Mojave 3.

"The light and dreamy elements of "Rudenï" are a mesmerizing blend of shoegaze and slow lo-fi pop. "Millenia" concludes the EP with a head-nodding track that recalls 90s indie as much as the dream pop of today. With dreamlike pleasantries, Hallo Mazie's foray into pop music should not be discounted for its lack of English vocals. Some of the greatest bands around feign English for their native tongue, placing Tramplïni alongside pop greats like Sambassadeur and [ingenting]." - by FENSEPOST

"This is a nice and gentle EP! " - by INDIEPAGES

"..."Hallo, Mazie" is, how do you say, Amazieng. Haha.. ahaha. Really, it is. In fact, it's one of the best releases I've gotten from bands so far this summer, not counting the obvious bigger indie ones. The sound would fit right in with some of the best smaller indie pop bands in the States. Some of the comparisons might be to Luna, Viva Voce, Yum-Yum, Yo La Tengo, Amanset, Imperial Teen, and Joy Zipper. The list could go on too... I just hear so many different bands that I like in their style, which is a delicious sort of slo-core meets indie pop." - by PALEBEAR
