About Me

Wheelchair Discotheque WAS a project by Martins Rokis and Kaspars Groshevs based in Riga, Latvia. It came into being in the end of 2005, however Kaspars and Martins started collaboration some three years ago in radio show Visions on local independent radio station NABA (www.radionaba.lv). For many years theyve been working on different projects on their own trying out different directions. But in 2005 both decided to exchange with some ideas and musical sketches that slowly evolved into several projects. Influences: Basically everything. it could be creak of an old wheelchair or unbearable noize in a discotheque, it could be electronica, it could be indie or rock or even hardcore, it could be noizes outside the window or in other room - we wouldn't like to frame the music into some categories (exept for - we just revealed a secret our music is made indoors).. Listen to music and probably everyone will think of something else that could have influenced us - whatever you think of it could be true.
