At the end of 2004 Uldis joined Janis, Krists and Kristaps, and they combined their musical experiments, searches and efforts under the name of metanoia. The first concert took place shortly after a few rehearsals, receiving great response from the listeners, which convinced the band that they had met for a purpose. Many things have changed ever since, however their love towards each other and their music has grown and permanently fixed. The idea about an album started to grow stronger, when they began having more concerts outside of Latvia in countries like Germany, Estonia and Lithuania. Their album Ordinary was recorded from June till October 2005. The album ideologically points towards simplicity, but at the same time towards uniqueness the idea is clearly shown with the fingerprint design on the album cover. The fingerprint seems to be very simple and ordinary, but at the same time it is unique, because there is only one of a kind. There are 10 songs on the album with a bonus track, which were recorded at the Sound Division Studios and the Latvian Christian Radio music recording studio by Brian J. Lindsay (USA), who was the principal sound engineer for this album. The song Addicted was presented as the first single from the upcoming album at the beginning of 2006. The song was instantly included into the playlists of the biggest commercial radio stations in Latvia. The main music and entertainment media showed huge interest soon after the release of Addicted. The music critic Janis Zilde (www.tvnet.lv leading news portal) proclaimed metanoia as the brightest debut in the Latvian guitar-music scene in the last few years. Reviews of the debut album were published in all of the most influential and leading magazines (Izklaide (Entertainment), Muzikas saule (Music Sun), FHM, Cosmopolitan, Delfi.lv and others). Apart from the compliments that were received from the critics, much greater delight is received from all the listeners who have bought the debut album and who with their presence create the special atmosphere that can be felt in every metanoia concert. See Me Coming Back was the second single from the metanoia album, which followed the first single Addicted, which has stayed in the Radio SWH Lobby top10 (www.radioswh.lv) for 18 weeks. In the future the band is planning to spread the music of metanoia across the borders of Latvia. Well have to work hard, but at the same time well also have to dream a lot, because dreams and the desire to realize them makes us work even harder. All we want to do is to be in this world and share with others what we have received. After all, if we can stir-up someones imagination, open up someones mental outlook and help experience that person a revelation then we have achieved our goal and we couldnt ask for more. The best thing we can hope for is that in this triad, all three parts would be involved God, metanoia and the listener.
