the get go

the get go was formed in mid 2005, when chris green (aka "Chris Green") and peter mcmanus (aka "Punk", aka "The Punkster", aka" Hollywood Peter McManus") decided they liked the cut of each others jib, musically speaking of course. many a jam session ensued. slowly but surely they chipped away at what would eventually become their sound. many a friend would ask, "when are we going to hear this strange, mysterious new sound green and punk?" "we're dotting the i's" is what they told their friends. along the way they toyed with idea of calling the fledgling project many different names, which were either taken, shit, or shit and taken. they got the name "the get go" from a warped song entitled "good from the get go", and decided that it didn't piss each other off. in september 2006 they were joined by a couple of their good friends steven sabatino (aka "Sabo"), and dave watkins (aka "Suit"). now with an engine room of their very own, they plan to make an even bigger noise than before.
