Naked Soul were a band hailing from Melbourne, Ostraylia and were formed in the late 80s. They played to crowds all over town, amassing a loyal die hard following, winning various battle of the bands and breaking attendance records at local Melbourne venues.
After a break of about 10 years in which various members got caught up with mental, drug and legal issues they reformed to record a CD and play a handfull of gigs around town. Singer Justin Fitzgerald and guitarist, Warren O'neill continued writing and recording material until the end. Bassist, Drew Lynch went on to play with the Mojo Rising and is now currently playing with My lil Tornado and Drummer James Bunney plays in various high profile cover bands as well fronting his own original band, Tall Order.
The band continued to play in various incarnations which included Jason Bryant and Nik Bryant from The Drivers, Matt Bray from 28 Days, Chris Green from The Get Go,Andrew Bourke and Vlad Badov from Ben McMaster.
Unfortunately Justin died before the CDs were completed. He died in his sleep at the age of 37. He was like a candle that burned twice as bright and thus burnt out twice as fast. He lived life to the extreme and will be dearly missed.
The Endless Road CD was finally completed in 2007 and gained airplay and exposure. It has ended up being a tribute to Justin as he was the driving force behind the band and his spirit lives on in his music and in all the hearts of the people he has touched. A follow up CD simply called Naked Soul which showed the bands earlier recordings was also completed in 2007.
The songs on this site is just to give a taste of the Naked Soul sound. The style of the music was eclectic and only a handful of songs do not do justice. If you are interested in getting a copy of the CDs send us a message. We'll try to update the site from time to time with different songs and videos.
