In some music you can hear a special sound, that´s coming from a mellotron. Often you can hear instruments like strings, flute and brass as well as the sound of a choir in recordings. Sometimes that sound comes from a mellotron! How could one know, if it comes from a mellotron? That ain´t allways easy to say. Mellotron-lovers can hear or feel if it is a mellotron.
Listen to my songs to hear some mellotronsounds. In "Nice Mellotron" you can hear the typical sound of strings, choir and brass, coming from a mellotron. I love the roughness of the sound.
You should not use the sound from a mellotron if you create music and want to have something that sounds exactly like strings or a choir. In that case there are other samples that suites better. On the other hand, if you want a sound that is magic, you might want to use the sound from a mellotron.
Unfortunately, most people can´t afford to buy a real mellotron.
Luckily, we can use samples from this extraordinary sampler, the mellotron!
