The Call to Drive Out the Bush Regime!

YOUR GOVERNMENT, on the basis of outrageous lies, is waging a murderous and utterly illegitimate war in Iraq, with other countries in their sights.
YOUR GOVERNMENT is openly torturing people, and justifying it.
YOUR GOVERNMENT puts people in jail on the merest suspicion, refusing them lawyers, and either holding them indefinitely or deporting them in the dead of night.
YOUR GOVERNMENT is moving each day closer to a theocracy, where a narrow and hateful brand of Christian fundamentalism will rule.
YOUR GOVERNMENT suppresses the science that doesn't fit its religious, political and economic agenda, forcing present and future generations to pay a terrible price.
YOUR GOVERNMENT is moving to deny women here, and all over the world, the right to birth control and abortion.
YOUR GOVERNMENT enforces a culture of greed, bigotry, intolerance and ignorance.
People look at all this and think of Hitler - and they are right to do so. The Bush regime is setting out to radically remake society very quickly, in a fascist way, and for generations to come. We must act now; the future is in the balance. To read the rest of the Call go to: www.worldcantwait.org

I'd like to meet:

DRIVERS...

...people who are sick of "politics as usual" and who are down for the task of driving this criminal regime from power!

Movies:

.. width="425" height="350" ..

" Sir, No, Sir!"- Documentary on U.S. G.I. resistance during the Vietnam War.

" The Road to Guantanamo" - Part documentary, part dramatization of three British citizens held without charges in Guantanamo.

" La Ciudad"- 4 shorts stories of life for Latino immigrants in NYC woven into one film. A humanizing portrait of the daily struggles of people forced in the shadows and facing more extreme attacks by the Bush Regime.

Books:

" Oil, Power and Empire" by Larry Everest - War on terror? Don't think so. Read Everest's book on the driving force behind America's war in the Middle East.

" With God on our Side" by Ester Kaplan- Don't think a theocracy could happen in the U.S.? Read Kaplan's book on the rise of the Christian Right under Bush.

" The War at Home" by Brian Glick- Glick details the F.B.I.'s COINTELPRO program and the government's attempts at repressing the Central American movements of the 1980's. The book's details of the U.S. government's repression is essential for today's Patriot Act-era and any activist opposing the Bush Administration.
