About Me

Darrell is the Director of the World Chelonian Trust (WCT) at: World Chelonian Trust The World Chelonian Trust is an international 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the overall conservation and care of tortoises and fresh water turtles. The WCT supports conservation efforts in the field and also supports captive breeding in both the public and private sector as a component of species survival. The WCT hosts the largest internet collection of turtle and tortoise care sheets as well as the largest chelonian photo gallery as a base for their ongoing educational efforts. Darrell is also the moderator of the Myspace group devoted to turtles and tortoises at: World Chelonian Trust on Myspace In addition Darrell hosts the free Yahoo turtle and tortoise care help group at World Chelonian Trust online Over the last twenty years Darrell has successfully bred more then 16 turtle species in the Chicago climate. As his knowledge has grown so has the circle of friends who share his passion for turtles.
