Once a rebel - always a rebel!

My family background is Polish on my father's side and Scottish on my mother's side. I was born in Huddersfield. I am proud of my family heritage and of my place of birth. I am as proud to call myself a Yorkshire man as I am to call myself Polish or Scottish. I am a product of my family background and of the place of my birth and upbringing.
I am a pretty laid back honest person. I have a very strong ethical outlook on the modern world that we live in. I'm a Greenpeace activist. Yes, that means i'm a carrot crunching hippy type that invades nuclear power stations and cares about our planet. I am active in my local group and I designed and help to manage the Huddersfield Greenpeace Myspace site. Please visit the site and see what we are campaigning on at the moment.
I am also very interested in ethical consumerism and I try to avoid buying products from companies that have a very poor ethical record e.g. Nestlé, CocaCola, McDonalds etc.
I also have a strong interest in animal rights issues whether it's concerned with experimenting on animals or the inhumane way animals are reared to serve man's over dependence of the meat industry. I believe we would all be a lot healthier if we ate less meat and ate a more vegetarian based diet.
I am very much opposed to the narrow minded nationalistic, racist bigotry of the BNP. The countries that make up Great Britain are the countries they are today because they are the product of centuries of immigration from peoples from around the world whose language and culture have helped to shape modern Britain. I am also footy daft. My fave team is Huddersfield Town and I also travel to see Poland and Scotland play.
I love to travel as well. I have visited many countries in Europe and I would really love to vist Cuba.
