Bluesy-rocky-jazzy-torchy original songs, in an original and distinguished voice, with classy arrangements of double-bass, piano, guitar and drums (courtesy of Robin Dixon and Lauren Allison), and introducing trumpet/harmonica from Stuart West (www.myspace.com/stuartdude) and the harmony vocals of Estelle Noonan & Virginia Re.
A HUGE BIG THANKS to each of the players and singers involved in this recording. Each instrument and voice brought so much to each song, and it just would not be the same without you. Also, thank you to Scott Collins for his wonderful mastering, general advice, and generosity. Thanks to Robin Dixon also, for the extended loans of instruments.
And for your visual pleasure, click on the video I will now try to upload...
"Prince Charming" (in acoustic trio style) live from August's gig at Will & Toby's - missing Lauren on drums and Robin on double bass, but featuring Stuart on trumpet and Estelle on vocals:

For example... HOW STILL THE NIGHT

The wind was so still, there was no wind at all
And the night was so quiet I could hear your heart call
And the waves touched so lightly the sand wasn’t shore
How far the stars
How high the sky
And my two arms
To hold you tight
How full the moon
How still the night?
Your shirt wore so thin, it was no shirt at all
And you said that there be no need for the coat I wore
I said “If you don’t hold me now I fear I will fall… and
How far the stars
How high the sky
And my two arms
To hold you tight
How full the moon
How still the night?
We slow-danced in the headlights till the battery went dead
And if the fish in the sea could’ve seen where this scene went next
They’d be jumping
