um. My name is Robin. When not studying (writing a phd on acting and staging techniques/theories utilised in Roman comedy- yep, geeky) I play music in bands and for theatre productions. I play a few instruments with the minimal level of ability necessary to not completely embarrass myself. I particularly like 'cello, baritone ukulele and banjo. The bands I play in include Derwent River Star, black apple iris, the shakthi collective, the Fishmongers Association of Queensland, Tapestries, Brett Every, Night Radio, Lauren Horton's Clockwork Trumpets, and ASI, and I occasionally accompany solo artists Adrian Deutsch and Kaity Fox. I've also contributed to recordings by saddleback, Dread Circus, Jack Ladder and Brett Millar. Please check any or all of these groups out if you like. The productions I have played music for include ricochet theatre's "Rules of the Game", Curious Works' "migrant project" trilogy, Stage Debris' "Mantras for Breathing", Only Shadows' "the raven and the writing desk" and dozens of plays with the Sydney Uni drama society. I have also written or co-written and directed a couple of plays, which was fun. None of this earns me any money, but it keeps me happy.
