The rap community has always eluded Dwella, until now. While Rap's best kept secret has eluded public eye, his single "The Manifestation" will propel him to global recognition.
Isaac C. Hayes , was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. As an adolescent he got involved with gangs, and later began to sell drugs. He has been rapping since the age of 14 and his music is heavily influenced by his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Combating the Thug Life era he incorporates his experiences as a street thug, while pointing out that he ultimately turned his life around by receiving Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He is known to the rap community as "Dwella", which is the acronym for Death Will Eventually Lead to Life Again. His goal is to teach young men living the criminal life that Jesus is their only hope.
Isaac Hayes was inspired by many artists such as Tupac Shakur, MC Eight, and Spice 1. Taking the little money he had saved he began to purchase audio equipment. As he continued to earn money, he continued to invest in his music. Recording in his home on a four-track, he started with the group Law & Order.
As the group began to mold together they produced their first album 'The BreakOut' (1997). The following year they produced another album entitled 'Taking Chances' (1998). Many fans that supported Law & Order wanted to hear Dwella on a solo album, and at the request of the public, 'Hood Dedication' was released in 2000. His latest single The Manifestation is currently sweeping through the nation.
His unique sound incorporates using different voice tones and styles, and places emphasis on certain words and syllables. His style and delivery is what draws the listener's attention, but after they have taken time to manifest upon his lyrics they are drawn into a world they never knew existed. As he has matured in his music, he has also focused his life toward serving Jesus Christ and therefore he no longer glorifies the streets in his music. His experiences on the streets, in college, and as a Christian provide him with an array of topics that are blended together to capture all audiences.
