CharDale Barnes (Yotik) started his entertainment career in 1996. Born in Omaha,NE where music resources are scarce, it goes without saying that his musical talent went overlooked for many years. In 1996 he began writing verses and almost all choruses for a family based rap group named Simply. At this time he used the rap alias "Storm" which was later changed to "Kayotik". This venture lasted 3 years and the recordings were never released. In 1999 he recorded under Sleep Dogg Publishing (BMI) on the Str8 Balln Compilation which featured Pocket Pete (who is said to have a record deal underway with Universal Records). Since this was his first time in a professional recording studio he was awe struck by the equipment. Less than a year later in 2000 he started aquiring music production equipment, break dancing, and performing. After graduating in 2002, Yotik spent the next 2 years improving his production skills and writing abilities. In 2004 he began a joint venture with Leo Louis II (Loco Quaque) which formed Kayotik and Quaque. This venture lead to the formation of a small record label; Faime Records LLC. Though it had a great success of shows and street sales, it was short lived and only lasted until summer of 2006. In fall 2006 Kayotik performed live for Anthony "Scoe" Walker and Senior Director "Conrad" Dimanche of Bad Boy Entertainment. Over the winter of 2006 Kayotik began rethinking his approach to music and how to truly entertain. After months of success selling shoes and electronics, Kayotik began to realize a much larger goal was possible. Shortly after he began networking with local political activists and leaders where he met the owner of Datworx; Charles Parks III (CP3). Kayotik quickly built a relationship with and was able to assist in live Pro Audio at the Black August event held at the Malcolm X birthsite in North Omaha. After only two months CP3 convinced Kayotik to change his approach again. "Kayotik" was shortened up to simply "Yotik" and this new approach formed Yotik Entertainment. Collectively, Yotik spent over a decade in marketing, direct sales and various hip hop ventures.
