About Me

-- ~ Kristin Evans ~ --
-- ~ Joanna Doane ~ --

Kristin Evans and Joanna Doane are two dear friends who, as survivors of childhood abuse, both share a passion for healing and reaching out to other survivors. Each have built their own websites in order to help abuse survivors, and The Survivor Archives is their collaborative project to do the same.

My Interests

The Survivor Archives
As creators of The Survivor Archives, Kristin Evans and Joanna Doane hope to reach out to survivors of abuse and trauma.
On a quarterly basis survivors of abuse/trauma are featured at The Survivor Archives . Each survivor's Archive is published with concentration being placed on their experiences in healing.
The Survivor Archives continues each year in hopes to
1) Spread the spirit of healing to any survivor and
2) Give struggling survivors of abuse and trauma hope that healing is possible no matter what their situation may be, or the circumstances involved.

Note:
Please keep in mind that our archives are not simply a place for survivors to share their stories of trauma and abuse.

  • I. Each survivor offers a short bio of themselves, explaining where they're at now in life, how've they've made it to this point.

  • II. They answer a series of nine questions such as:
    1. "What is the best advice you've ever received in healing?" and
    2. "What have been the three biggest obstacles you've had to overcome in your healing process?"

  • III. Artwork created through out the healing process such as a painting or poetry is shared.

  • IV. Letters are written by each survivor for their Archives, addressed to an aspect of their trauma/abuse - such as to their abuser, to themselves as a child, to a child currently being abused, etc.
