When a Flower Grows Wild it Can Always Survive

About Me

My healing journey from the wounds of childhood sexual abuse began when I was only 13 years old after a series of self destructive behaviors landed me in therapy. Sadly, this was my first "rock bottom" moment. Many more would follow. A year later I confronted the man who abused me for many years. When he denied everything I felt as if I had been permanently silenced.
I was not silenced. At 25 I have reclaimed my voice, and it is stronger then ever. I am determined to share my voice in the hope that I can reach those who suffer like I did. It has been an interesting journey and in the end I wouldn't trade in any aspect of it. I am in love with life again but it has taken every step to get to this point. I thank God for the struggle that made me who I am today.
I would describe myself as something of an ambitious and starry eyed dreamer. I do not know my limits which can be positive and challenging. I want to believe that anything is possible and for the most part I do.
In the words of Winston Churchill: "If you are going through hell -- keep going"
In my free time I run a website for Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse. I also co-Author a Website Called The Survivor Archives.
