About Me

Derek was born on a hot New York day in May. After spending his early years eating crayons because they told him they wanted to see inside his tummy and trying to teach dead birds to sing, Derek was put into special classes to help him let out his creative side. The special classes didn't do much to help the matter any and Derek was returned to regular classes, but was allowed to keep the snazzy special classes jersey.
In fifth grade, Derek wrote his first short story about a pen searching for its purpose in the world. His teacher, while not liking the grammar or spelling did see a hint of comedy in the story. As any good teacher would, she entered Derek's name into the US Governments Counter Culture Watch Dog files. Derek is still followed by men dressed as puppies to this day. In his first year of college, Derek wrote and played the main character in a short film called LOSER. From this he learned two important things:
1 - People laugh from Derek's writing
2 - People laugh at Derek's acting
Derek quickly put away his acting hat and stapled his writing hat to his head. After a quick trip to the hospital to remove staples from his skull, Derek set off at writing his next film. To this day, he has written 11 short films and 2 features.
Derek believes that he gained his writing ability in one of two ways: Either he was abducted by aliens who learned English from Groucho Marx or that his family had something to do with it. If it was his family, Derek has a theory that it was three people in general who gave him this ability.
1 - His mom, who never told Derek how stupid his ideas were and kept her tears hidden when her son would explain his new story that made no sense.
2 - His brother, who taught Derek what was funny and what wasn't.
3 - His father, whose constant stories of what happened to the people on Gilligan's Island and about growing up in Brooklyn helped to form the odd humor the poor boy is stricken with today.
Derek is currently suing his family for these reasons as well. He hopes to one day marry his apple and open a chain of bottle cap stores.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT DEREK FARACI
Derek's the kind of fucking guy WHO makes you want to open the goddamn door and let the asshole inside.
~Belinda
Simply the best person on this planet!
~Erica

~Kyle
Derek's awesome with a capital AWE
~Laura
On Halloween Derek and I drank 30 Tecates. Then we started break dancing. It was sweet.
~Sauce
I wish, I could grow a Faraci beard.
~Alex
Seriously though, everybody says he's a great guy but is anybody going to put out for Derek? I think not. Instead they'll hook up with some asshole that makes them feel inadequate because we all need something to work towards. As for me, Derek is "all right" so the obligation of bending over does not fall on my shoulders.
~AJ
Honestly, no one can tell a story or joke like Derek
~Greg
Pretty
~Piyu
I knew him first
~Devin
His humor is original, his compassion moving, and his intelligence illuminating. He is one of those people who I believe the world would be a sadder place for not having present.
~Dave
More pretty girls with delicate features should love him.
~Yuki
This guy fucking listens to people, pays attention and remembers things like you wouldn't believe.
~Tis
I love him and you should too!
~Lori
I'm afraid of him
~Walter
You rock so awesome.
~Projects of Undoubtable Silence
i'm not taking fashion advice from someone who prefers to dress like the unibomber.
~Chaz
This guy left me the most vile, disgusting comment I have ever seen on any page EVER. Just one of those would have been enough, jeesh. I laughed, cried, puked nd gave myself an abortion right before I deleted it. ps Now I'm exhausted.
~Erica-ism
You rock so awesome.
~Projects of Undoubtable Silence
i just may have a crush on you.
~That Girl

My Interests

I like to walk and hate to be in a car. I like public transportation; you'll always get off a bus with a new story. I don't talk to new people very often, but when I do it's almost always good. I perfer sitting in a dark theater rather then a bar or club. The comic store is my church, the eels my choir. Most of all, I'm interested in having a statue erected in my image. It would be twice the size of the Statue of Liberty and it would be me holding a slice of pizza in one hand and a Pepsi in the other. The inscription would read "Derek Faraci: He saw some shit"
