SOUR GRAPES

About Me

Sour Grapes:
From humble beginnings using discarded or broken equipment, Sour Grapes has quietly become a powerhouse of unusual and challenging music. Eschewing traditional forms of rhythm and melody, the members of Sour Grapes prefer to paint with sound, creating sonic landscapes that envelope the listener in madness, trickery and surprise.
Employing an eclectic blend of high-tech and low-brow know how, they strive to discard preconceived notions of what music is; and in the process hopefully raise more questions than they supply answers. Comprising the core are Ryan Williamson and Matthew Gates, playing instruments as varied as cigar box slides, djembes, heavily synthesised instruments and everyday objects. Supplemented by a roster of talented guest artists, Sour Grapes dares you to listen to music unlike anything you've ever heard before! Now, the two behind Sour Grapes have established a new indie label, who welcome music from around the world, different genres and styles.
Sour Grapes Productions will have a new website, online library of music for download and much more. Stay tuned for details on the newly launched Sour Grapes Productions.
