Hyske is an interlude of sorrows riding on an optimistic wave - uplifting folk like charm with a pop edge.
Hyske's musical journey began in a drum room out of a friendship that blossomed into a musical collaboration
of experimenting with various electronic sounds.
Being in a small musical community had a positive effect on the duo and due to the high budget of small recording studio’s they decided to buy their own recording equipment to record demo’s. Naturally they would go in search of people to collaborate with. Their search took them by air, road, train, bus to all kinds of places such as LA, Portland, Nevada Desert, San Fransico sleeping and living in a dodge van in the motel carparks and in a Hare Krsna temple meeting all kinds of people & jamming with every kind of musician.
A move to Sydney would bring about an EP and a song on national radio along with praising reviews.
With the support of Beau Young and fellow musical friends they found themselves on the road touring up and down the east coast of Australia. With all their hard earned savings they would return to finish recording their first full-length album “Luna†- resting place of souls-
“Luna†was recorded & mixed in a home studio and funded by cleaning & cafe’ work and the generosity of friends and family.
The album cover was put together with the intention of describing the fragile beauty within’ the music and was created with the help of friends and aquaintances.
The first single off the album is “Universe Inside†and as one reviewer said
