Sweet Torque
THE MUSIC
Big Polyphonic rock with roots in 90s grunge, 80s ballads, 70s anthems and a touch of today.
THE SONGS
A melodic emphasis paired with meaningful lyrics, STs songs are a journey through many emotive states from angst to harmony engulfing the listener in stories relevant to the times. The music itself is largely riff based drawing on all offshoots of Rock to remain fresh and diverse.
THE SOUND
Powerhouse vocals reminiscent of Soundgarden, Bush and Pearl Jam
Guitars feature warm concert tones of pure valve amps and well placed use of effects. The Bass chugs with an extra string for that important extra OOMPH locking in smoothly with the kick drum for solid, seamless beats.
Completing the concert style wall of sound effect, are the harmonised back up vocals always positioned to take the songs climax a higher level again.
Musically, Sweet Torque bridges the gap between all ages and walks of life. With a fresh yet familiar commercially viable sound, STs audiences have quickly warmed to the songs and have often been caught singing the tunes hours after the shows.
