About Me

************************************************************ ********************** Boy, was I shocked at the oucome of this... Angelina Jolie? Maybe the eyebrows... but it's flattering none-the-less.... You should try it! ************************************************************ ********************** This video was filmed by DUSTIN SAIN, JESSICA GERMAN, and CHRISITA WESLEY. Produced by DUSTIN SAIN ************************************************************ ********************** ************************************************************ ********************** I AM A TRUE-TO-HEART TEXAS CHICK! I am a music addict! I love to promote independent bands, and I am an avid supporter of the local and independent music scenes. I have been into music promotion, photography (mostly live bands), and videography (again, mostly live bands) for the last 14 or so years. I have been lucky enough to have had a photo published on the OZZFEST 2005 website. (scroll down to the April 12th Ozzfest.com news release). I also have published photos in Guitar World Magazine (July & August '94) and the Dangerous Toys "Greatest Hits" CD liner & website ( here and here ), not to mention various other band website postings. In mid 2005, I retired my Dallas street team that was created a few years prior to help promote unsigned and signed bands alike..... we were awarded "Best Local Music Supporter" at the Dallas MySpace party at Trees on June 27th, 2004. Moving across a couple of states kinda forces things to change, and that idea would NOT have gone over in a place like Jackson, MS. I was a Mississippi resident for almost ten months exactly; Now I'm back in Texas, and back in a larger city. Houston is not quite like Dallas, and neither city is like Austin. Though I have yet to live in Austin, I have spent A LOT of time there since '94. All three cities have such a vastly different music scene, and I have learned to embrace and love the life spans of the good phases of music and clubs in each city. Not knowing exactly where I currently stand with band promotions, I have emersed myself in work for the better part of the last year. I work in the industry as an Operations Manager of the most successful music instrument retail location in Texas - second largest in the entire South. I love what I do and I can already tell that this year will be very successful. This company is bringing bigger and better things along to the employees and customers alike - we are the future of music instrument sales; and likely even more as the years go by. ************************************************************ ********************** I love to travel and take the opportunity to "get the hell out of Dodge" whenever possible. Within the states, I have seen the East and West coasts, with short stays in San Francisco, L.A., Boston, Orlando, W. Palm Beach, South Beach and many places in between. In my International travels, Montego Bay, Jamaica was awesome; as was Cancun, Mexico. I have been to Europe once, and would love to go again. I went in '98 with my sister (who was already living in Paris at the time) and my best friend Misty - we had a blast.... even though little spats tended to break out daily. The trip lasted 17 days total, and encompassed six countries and nine cities: Paris & Strausborg, France; Brussels, Belgium; Dusseldorf & Cochem, A.D. - Mosel Valley, Germany; Dublin, Ireland; Luxembourg City, Luxembourg; Amsterdam & Denhaag, Netherlands......... I would have to say that Luxembourg City was my favorite......... the landscape and valley were peaceful... the history, art, culture, beer, and food were amazing. Shared with my love of world travel is worldly foods.... I love ethnic foods and favor Mediterranian..... then Italian & Mexican. ************************************************************ ********************** I have a deep-rooted facination with Egyptology. I have never been to Egypt, but await the day that I will be able to go. The Renassiance period facinates me as well. I believe in spirituatiality versus a set religion, reincarnation and life after death - therefore, I've been doing my homework by reading up on the subjects. Who knows, maybe my fondness of particular eras denotes my soul remembering my favorite parts from some of my past lives... Anyway, you can go to my "Let's get Quizical" blog to see the results to some of those silly quiz thingies that are always popping up on everyone's profiles......... I guess there is some truth to them though....... at least there is to the ones I thought worthy enough to post! ((look into "older blogs" or "archives" in the left hand column of the blog page) ;-) ************************************************************ ********************** I am somewhat obsessive/compulsive in different areas of my life. (But not in a bad way!) I can be overly organized at times, and kinda messy at others. When I do clean and organize, I will spend hours.... many hours getting things to perfection. It takes a while to mess up, and it's usually clothes that are the biggest part of the mess! I'm definitely obsessive/compulsive with clothes, accessories, and shoes!!!! (but damn, I have some badass outfits!) Two thirds of my closet is somewhat "normal" clothing - including work attire, and the other third is costumes....... (if you can't tell from all of my photos of me in some sort of costume)..... everyday should be Halloween! However, I love to create my own designs in every day clothing as well as costumes. For Halloween 2007, my costume was based on the cartoon logo from the sleeve of the Brides of Destruction (Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue & Tracii Guns of L.A. Guns) CD....I made the train to my Halloween wedding dress from raw white fabric.... I probably put about 5 hours into the train, tiara, boots, and glove covers (iron crosses)... I hand embellished the train with over 1500 pearls and over 450 Austrian crystals!!! Here's a comparison (hopefully you can tell us apart!!!! hahahahaha!!!!): ************************************************************ **********************
