Chris Dunn - Classical Guitarist

A native of Maryland, United States, Christopher Dunn received his Bachelors of Music, Masters of Music and Graduate Performance Diploma from Peabody Concservatory.As a founding member of the Aurora Guitar Quartet, recent concerts seasons have included concerts in United States, Costa Rica and Japan.The Aurora Guitar Quartet brings together guitarists from Europe, Japan and the United States. Recent performances include a sold-out New York debut at Carnegie Halls Weill Recital Hall, a concerto performance with Pan-American Symphony in Washington, D.C.s Lisner Auditorium, and recitals in Baltimores Shriver Hall and The Kennedy Center. All members of the group are also accomplished soloists and have performed in recital and with orchestras in Europe, Asia and South and North Americas.The ensemble has toured extensively in Japan and performed for guitar societies in Philadelphia, Austin, Denver, Baltimore, and Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and other cities through the Florida Guitar Alliance. Aurora is expanding their guitar repertoire by frequent collaborations with composers.Dunn performs as a soloist and in the Dunn-Moeller Guitar Duo with classical guitarist Paul Moller. In 2003 Dunn performed as a concerto soloist in Costa Rica with the Sinfonica Independencia Orchestra. In addition to classical performances, Mr Dunn performs as a studio musician for popular music groups/song writers. Dunn teaches guitar at Park School and at his private studio in Baltimore, Maryland, and plays a guitar made by Robert Ruck.
