About Me

I was going to put my "official" bio here, the one that goes into my concert-programs. And I may still do that. But the only things you really need to know about me are contained in the music itself. I've been playing the piano since age 2, and have been doing all the standard Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Rachmaninoff, et al. Whom I love. And I also really enjoy playing contemporary music; some favorites are George Crumb, John Corigliano, and Arvo Pärt. I have been composing since an early age, too. And, as you can see, I am also a fan of improvisation.A note about the improvisations: I have no idea where they come from. I have no pre-conceived notions of what is going to come out. I just press record and then play the piano. I like it this way, and I hope you do, too. And I'm sorry about the background "hum" - I'm fairly certain it's the plumbing in the little room at my school I've been using! The "Continuum" piece is an original composition of mine (written out, as opposed to a spur-of-the-moment improv like the others), and the flutist is my best friend, Angela.Anyway, any comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks for stopping by, and stay tuned for music-updates and performance dates. As for my website, don't go there just yet; while I own the domain, there's nothing on it at the moment.

Thoughts

Hello. I don't really know why I'm doing this, considering that I keep a blog on my personal MySpace with all and sundry just lying there for the whole cyber-world to see. So these will most likely ...
