About Me

Hello and welcome to my music world! I am a native of Serbia, adopted by an American family. My interest in music, as well as my music training, started at an early age. I finished my pre-college music studies in Belgrade and shortly after I began my college career at San Antonio College in San Antonio, TX. I graduated from St. Mary's University in May 2007, with a Bachelors of Music degree in classical guitar performance, while attending on a full scholarship. Currently, I am pursuing my MM in classical guitar and piano (as the second instrument) performance at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, also accepted on a full scholarship. I was fortunate to have a variety of wonderful music instructors and I also had the opportunity to perform in numerous master classes. I performed extensively as a soloist as well as with guitar ensembles.I currently reside in San Antonio, TX. Influences: Andres Segovia!!! Also the other great performers such as Pepe Romero, Julian Bream, Manuel Barrueco, Christopher Parkening, Sharon Isbin, Ida Presti, John Williams, David Russell, William Kanengiser...to name a few. Composers: Bach, Ponce, Rodrigo, Torroba, Albeniz, Granados, Villa-Lobos, Barrios, Brouwer, Mark Cruz (my guitar mentor), Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Satie, Stravinsky... Besides classical influences, I listen to some metal/hard core, and any other kind of music that has a lot of energy. Besides music, art is my second passion and I am influenced by the works of: Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, Picasso, Munch, Chagall, Dali, Matisse, Frida Kahlo, Thomas Kinkade...Since I love mystery and bizzare stories, my favorite authors include Edgar Alan Poe and Dan Brown (Da Vinci Code).
