Together, we can make a difference!

About Me

Registration is now open for the Kindness Revolution Scavenger Hunt. (Kindness Revolution is the parent organization forming to run Artists Against AIDS) On August 1st we will post a list of items and your goal is to get pictures of as many of the items on the list as you can. To score the highest possible points, you will want to be in the picture with the item. Bonus points will be given on several items (check the list when it is posted for details). Special bonus clues and items will be randomly posted before the start date, so be sure to register early and check the page at www.myspace.com/KRfundraisers often for chances at bonus points.
Prizes, rules and other important information will be posted in our blogs.
Registration is only $10 and is now open. Just go to our profile page and click the button to register.
Make sure you challenge all of your friends to sign up and see which of you will dominate the scavenger hunt.

We are a team of caring, fun and creative individuals who have come together to do our part in fighting HIV/AIDS. People sometimes forget that this disease is still affecting people every day. The treatments that have been developed, while hopeful, do not work for everyone. And what we really want is a cure, but that is a goal we will have to work hard for. We will do our best to use this space to update you on news; highlight artists who actively support HIV/AIDS awareness; and share ways that you can help to make a difference.
While we have felt honored to help raise funds for so many other HIV/AIDS charities, our true goal is to see the AIDS Art Alliance achieve legal charity status of its own. We feel this would open the door to allow us to reach out to people on a more personal basis and give us more freedom to make a true difference each and every day. However, whether it takes a week or a century to make that happen, there will always be someone here reaching out in whatever ways we can.
If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected]
You can make a donation using paypal to [email protected] or by clicking below. Help us reach our goal of $5,000 by April 1st!
Please note that your donation is to help us achieve our charity status and is, therefore, not a charitable deduction
The AIDS Art Alliance strives to use the arts to improve the lives of individuals affected by HIV and AIDS by providing artistic expression as a means of therapy, community, and education. Its mission is to increase awareness of and knowledge about HIV/AIDS; to inspire activism through volunteer participation and donations; and to help those affected by HIV/AIDS to lead full, healthy and productive lives. We hope you will help us realize our goals and become a part of this wonderful project.

Music:

INTRODUCING CARLOS LOPEZ G AND CD4 THE BAND

CD4 the band, is a group of musicians from different backgrounds with a common link - to make original music with the purpose of raising awareness about HIV prevention.

Carlos Lopez G, composer, guitar player, vocalist and leader of the band, brought together a group of professional musicians with many young musicians. The band intends to motivate and interest young musicians in HIV prevention and to give them the opportunity to work with professionals to improve their skills. Carlos was leader of two well known bands in Spain in the ‘80s (Los Indeseables and later The Assasins)

Mélange Lavonne, is one of our newest friends and hopes to become a strong voice "for those who cannot speak." Please, watch this video, check out her MySpace profile (www.myspace.com/melangelavonne) and tell her what you think!
