About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorClick here to to to the WDEN Home pageI have been in radio for over 25 years, although it is very hard to believe that it has been that long. I started off in Three Rivers Michigan, then Sturgis Michigan, followed by Coldwater Michigan, Baton Rouge Louisiana, Little Rock Arkansas, Houston Texas, Cincinnati Ohio and then to Macon Georgia. For the most part I have worked at Country Stations a format that I knew nothing about when I first started but grew to love. I won a couple of industry awards when I worked in Little Rock for Music Director of the year and Small Market DJ of the year. That was pretty nice and very unexpected. I have worked in Macon at WDEN for 12 years. Never expected to be here that long. My plan was to hang around until my son graduated from High School and then move to a larger market. Soon I found myself loving the area and the people and then I bought a house and met Wayne, found a great Church at Ingleside Baptist and now it seems I am here to stay! MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

My family is one of the most important things in my life. Here are some vintage photo's that take a look back at my family line. My Great Grandfather moved from South Dakota to Michigan after purchasing a Hatchery, site-unseen, and then moved the family to their new home which began a whole new era in our history. The yearly Easter Egg hunt at the hatchery was THE event of the year and the whole town turned out to hunt for the eggs. Movies, books, travel (although it seems all I can do at this point is dream about it, I like to canoe and fish and camp (another thing I don't get a chance to do anymore!)

I'd like to meet:

Here is a slide show of the some of the Country stars I have had a chance to meet over the years. Don't laugh to hard at the 80's big hair!I want to meet everybody! I think anybody who makes it in this world and stays to true to who they are is worthy of our attention. I think Billy Graham is inspiratonal. I think I would have liked to have met Johnny Cash. I tend to admire people from afar. I find that you aren't disappointed if you don't dig to deep."Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8

Music:

I love all types of music. Well I am not a fan of Rap but pretty much everything else. My favorite artists change from week to week so I can't name a favorite.

Movies:

I like almost all movies and I love to watch the movies the critics hated just to see how truly bad they were! Like that movie Madonna did called "Swept Away", remember that? Yeah..truly horrendous. Netflix is great for finding those treasures!!

Television:

Greys Anatomy, Lost, All the CSI's, Bones, Supernatural, American Idol, Ereuka, Men in Trees, Ugly Betty.

Books:

I love to read! Did you know there is a service similar to Netflix called www.booksfree.com where you can rent books? I Love that service!!

Heroes:

Once again, anyone who can remain to true to themselves. People who have grace under pressure, who put there lives on the line for others. Soldiers, firemen, police officers, etc.. (by the way...did I tell you my son is a fireman, my almost step-son is in the Army (and being sent to Iraq in November this year) and Wayne is retired marine.
