What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?

About Me

Spontaneous, adventurous, thrill-seeker, independent, laid-back, easy-going, low-maintenance, LOVE to laugh and have a good time, responsible, self-sufficient, ambitious, and fiercely loyal. I'm also sarcastic (but not cruel, it's all in good fun), goofy, a bit of a clutz (yes, I admit it), honest, and straight-up (not so good at censoring myself). In other words, if you take yourself too seriously, you don't want to be around me......I have NO patience for stupid drama, ignorance, rudeness, egomaniacs, pretentious and inconsiderate people, and flakes (life is too short to have morons in my life). You can't impress me with anything material because I don't care about things like that. Experiences, travels, creativity, and accomplishments are things that will grab my attention. I'm a simple girl who really enjoys the amazing friends I have. The bar is set really high when it comes to making new ones, but it's always a possibility!
NOTE: To the cheesy guys out there...just because I'm single DOES NOT mean I'm in need of a boyfriend nor would I be looking for one here on MySpace, so please don't make a fool of yourself. I'm not here to date. And just for the record, this profile is strictly for my real friends. I'm not trying to win a MySpace popularity contest, and I won't add random people I don't know.

My Interests

Triathlons/Ironman, surfing, snowboarding, motorcycle racing, dirt bikes, sky-diving (AFF certified), cycling, scuba diving, rock-climbing, mountain-biking, fishing, camping, hiking, anything outdoors or extreme, and foreign travel (preferably with AWESOME waves). Simpler things include earl grey tea (every morning!), frozen yogurt, shaved ice, cooking and dinner parties (who needs bars?), fiction and non-fiction, Scrabble, Texas Hold'em, chess, flea markets, Home Depot, REI (favorite store in the world!), massages (who doesn't like them?), lavender and ylang ylang, bookstores, indies, sunsets and sunrises, 'Fall' back home (where the leaves turn red, orange and yellow...and the air is crisp!), strong winds, thunderstorms, and pretty much anything that stirs my soul.

I'd like to meet:

People who believe in experiencing life to the fullest. People who live in the present, for the future, while learning from the past. People who are true to themselves and their passions. Down-to-earth and genuine people. People who inspire me, make me laugh, and can show me something new out of life. People who are self-sufficient, ambitious, and motivated, but realize it's about "working hard....to play even harder". People who place integrity, honesty, loyalty, sincerity, and accountability as their priorities in life. People who take pride in their accomplishments and life experiences. And last but not least, people who like to have fun and know how to laugh at themselves.

Music:

Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Dave Mathews, The Josh Green Band, Beth Orton, John Mayer, U2, Radiohead, Macy Gray, B-tribe, Sade, Nelly Furtado, Sarah McLachlan, Delerium, Groove Armada, Mark Farina, Marques Wyatt, soulful and deep house music, and pretty much anything groovy that I can dance to (and boy, do I LOVE to dance)....

Movies:

Belle Epoque, The Shape of Things, Crouching Tiger, Time Code, Muriel's Wedding, Goodfellas, Swingers, American Pie, Made, Amelie, Laurel Canyon, City of God, In America, Memento, Love Actually, Faster, Napolean Dynamite, Maria Full of Grace, Crash...I'm a movie addict (especially indies), and have been known to sit through 3 movies, one after another. That doesn't happen so much anymore now that they've beefed up movie theatre security.....

Television:

When I have time....Nip/Tuck, Sex in the City, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Friends, Will & Grace, CSI, Law & Order, Army Wives, SNL....

Books:

Tuesdays with Morrie, The Alchemist, Harry Potter, Memoirs of a Geisha, Conversations with God, Tale of Murasaki, She's Come Undone, Da Vinci Code, Killing Pablo, Lonely Planet travel guides...anything that takes me on a journey and makes me unaware of the passing of time......

Heroes:

My MOM...she rocks!

My Blog

Don't wish....

Don't wish it were easier; wish you were better. Don't wish for less problems; wish for more skills. Don't wish for less challenges; wish for more wisdom." Jim Rohn
